Spiritual Wellness & Integrative Therapies:
Spiritual wellness recognizes that a fulfilling life is one aligned with a clear set of values and morals, and a sense of meaning and purpose. Spiritual wellness is very broad, may or may not involve religious activities and looks different for every person. Research indicates that spiritual wellness has an impact on overall quality of life:
• Spirituality and mental health
Integrative therapies (also sometimes known as holistic, complementary, or alternative therapies) involve selecting techniques from different treatment modalities that are best suited to an individual’s unique needs and addressing the “whole” person.
Spiritual wellness and integrative therapies can include but are certainly not limited to: meditation, worship/prayer, mindfulness, aromatherapy, massage, acupuncture, sound bathing, reiki, singing, art, socializing, and volunteering.
Take a moment to consider what spiritual wellness means to you, and seek out ways to be spiritually well in your community!
End Of Life Planning/ Advanced Directive:
Life can be unpredictable. It’s important to let our loved ones know what we want and need should we be unable to make medical decisions for ourselves, and how we want our arrangements to be handled when we die. This can contribute significantly to our peace of mind and ease a lot of uncertainty for our loved ones as they navigate an emotionally difficult time.
